  If I go premium, do I have to self host as well? I don’t want my current domein name (https://brendaophetnet.wordpress.com) to change as I have a lot of content on my blog or will that URL automatically redirect to e.g. https://brendaophetnet.com? Also, will my PR3 stay intact or do I have to start from scratch?

  Hi Brenda, a few things I can answer:

  No, your site will still be hosted by WordPress.com

  WordPress.com has a bunch of different premium upgrades, as listed here:

  http://store.wordpress.com

  You can use the Custom Domain upgrade to use your own URL (e.g: http://brendaophetnet.com) to access your current blog (https://brendaophetnet.wordpress.com/) if you want to, but it is not a requirement. If you want to keep using your .wordpress.com URL, that is fine, too.

  If you do buy the custom domain upgrade, and use your own domain to replace your .wordpress.com domain, then people opening the old URL will automatically redirect to your own URL.

  I am not quite sure about the PageRank, though. Other users here might be able to explain.
