premium account domain primary domain change

    I want to get rid of my current primary domain and change it to a name that is more thematic and geared towards my writing. I have a premium account. How do I do this?

    Hi there,

    When you register a domain name, you’re purchasing the right to use that exact domain name with your site. To change your site’s domain, you’ll need to register the new domain name you want to start using.

    Once you’ve registered the new domain name, I can link it to your WordPress.com Premium plan. And if you don’t want your old domain name anymore, I can cancel it for you. (Please keep in mind that canceling a domain means you give up ownership of that domain name. There’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to register it again in the future.)
