Premium can’t plug in classic editor
-
It seems that despite lots of articles that made it sound as simple as upgrading once I did I cannot use plug ins and therefore cannot use the classic editor. The classic editor that can be accessed via search in blocks is not robust. Is there a way on the wordpress back end to force my interface to only use the classic editor? The block editor is vastly inferior and thought I was willing to try premium for the first time in over a decade I will ask for a refund if I can’t use the classic editor. Thank you

Hi there, sorry to hear you’ve had trouble with the Block Editor! It’s been the primary editor for five years and it’s constantly undergoing improvements such as the recent addition of the footnotes function. I too found it a bit more difficult to work at the start, with but it’s really grown on me as it sped up work that I previously would have had to do by manually typing out HTML.
You can already get to the Classic Editor view, via the WP Admin view of your site – no need for plugins or the Premium plan. We have a Classic Editor guide to help you find it!
If you do prefer to cancel and refund your Premium plan, you can of course do so from your Purchases page:
https://wordpress.com/me/purchasesIn case of need, we do also have a cancellation and refund guide too!

You don’t need a paid plan to be able to use the classic editor; you can do so on the free plan – https://wordpress.com/support/classic-editor-guide/
CAVEAT: While the Classic Editor is still available, it is not recommended to use.

Hello there,
Here is some additional information about why having a paid hosting plan is helpful for you to meet your goals.
Firstly, your Premium Plan gives you more support options:
https://wordpress.com/support/help-support-options/Also, it looks like you may be planning to use 15watt.com with your WordPress.com site. To do that, you’ll want to maintain your hosting plan. Once the domain points to WordPress.com, you can set it as the main site address.
Connect a domain:

Have a nice day!

As you know that guide is not up to date / it doesn’t work the way described. I will very likely be requesting a refund.
