Premium Domain Questions

    Hi, so I recently bought the WeWriteWrestling.com domain. However, I’m looking to rebrand the website so we can include more content, etc. My question is related to upgrading to Premium. I’m looking to upgrade for all the features like monetization, CSS, etc and getting a free domain. My question is, if I do get Premium, will I still get a free domain name if I have already purchased a domain name?

    Also, if I do get another domain name by upgrading, all domains are included(.com, .org, etc), right? Just want to make sure before spending $78. Thanks!

    The Premium plan includes registering a new domain and mapping it to your WordPressdotcom site or mapping a domain name you already own. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/

    At the bottom of the above Support page, you’ll find a list of the currently available TLD’s (top level domains) available on WordPressdotcom.

    I’m glad you asked. The normal price is $99. You’re seeing a discount because of your existing domain, which would be bundled into the plan. So upgrading at that price does not add an additional domain to the account, and next year you would renew at the regular $99, but you would not have to renew your existing domain separately.

    I hope that helps.

    You’re still welcome to add more domains to a plan though. We don’t support every single TLD but we do support several, so feel free to look at https://wordpress.com/domains and see if you can find one that interests you.

    @supernovia- thanks for all the clarifications! I wondered about the TLD list because I seem to recall seeing another support doc with a longer list of TLDs. If I can find it, I’ll link to it here.

    @justjennifer we used to support some CC tlds. These can still be mapped here, but we aren’t registering them here at this time.
