premium fresh news question

  I see in the demo of the Fresh News theme, there is one column for the first few posts and then two columns towards the bottom. Can this be done using this theme, and what sort of settings can be changed in order to have a different number of columns on the same page.

  • A large featured posts slider
  • Most Recent Post in one column
  • Other recent posts in two columns
