  If the Premium is a monthly subscription why do I have to pay the entire year upfront? Is there any way to pay monthly and then all at once later?

  Hi milesandcrawford,

  Premium isn’t a monthly subscription, it’s just displayed as monthly cost, but it also say it will be billed annually.

  Further the premium Subscriptions include a free domain names. Domain names cannot be bought on a monthly basis and have to be registered for a year at least.

  WordPress plans are yearly subscriptions. This makes it easier for you when it comes to renewing your domain subscription.

  Just adding on to agounder’s reply:

  All plans are billed yearly and there is no option to pay monthly. But if you do try out Premium and decide it is not for you, you can request a refund within 30 days: https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/
