Hiya, there are multiple ways to sell things on WordPress.com, both for the Premium and Business Plan if you’re interested.

You can use Simple Payments, which require either the Premium or the Business Plan: https://en.support.wordpress.com/simple-payments/

Alternatively, if you have the Business Plan, you can install a custom plugin to sell things, with the most popular being WooCommerce. The Business Plan also has access to the Store feature: https://en.support.wordpress.com/store/

Every plan can use PayPal though: https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/

Let me know if you have any further questions! :)

im thinking a checkout with a basket would be best as i plan on selling a range of different products im assuming the simple payments would be one item at a time and not include postage etc …. wich i will need as postage will need to be paid to deliver my products ….. im thinking the custom plug ins with the business plan will be more suited to my needs ….. the support that is offered with business does it include help with setting up if needed (i know theres plenty of youtube tutorials available also)

just read the wordpress/store link you put up ….. im in the uk does this mean i cannot have a store? it says usa and canada on the info link you sent

To use Store on WP.com, you will need to be located in Canada or the United States, be on a WordPress.com Business plan, and have previously installed a custom plugin or theme.

In the UK you can’t create a store using “Store” but you can create a store using WooCommerce etc.

Can i just confirm ….. i would also have to pay woocommerce to use their checkout plug in? Really hope not over £200 to have to pay someone else too seems very very expensive especially when im the one doing all the building etc
