  A couple of questions before I pull the trigger, please.
  1) can my subscription be cancelled at any time, even during the year? Is there a penalty for doing so?
  2) how can I check the availability of a domain name prior to enrolling in the plan?

  Yep! You can cancel a subscription at any time and there’s no penalty for doing so. We have a 30-day refund policy which means you’ll get a full refund if it’s cancelled within the first 30 days of purchase. For domains this is just 48 hours. There’s more info here:

  You can check here:

  https://wordpress.com/domains/add/tommaso505.wordpress.com

  Type in the domain you’re interested in at the top and it will let you know whether it’s available.
