premium plans and possible alternatives

I’m interested in knowing more about the premium plans that WordPress has, and whether or not there are possible ‘alternative’ plans? First, I have my own domain that I want to connect to, from GoDaddy. The reason I discontinued their web hosting is that I didn’t find it user friendly and, they were going to charge me a significant amount more to add an additional alias to my one e-mail address. So…how many aliases can I have through WordPress? Next, do you offer another plan that’s between the Premium Plan and the Business Plan? That’s a huge jump in cost from one to the other! Also, as a small business owner just starting out, I have almost no budget so, taking a hit for $300 up front is more than I can deal with right now – does WordPress offer any truly month-to-month plans, quarterly plans, or 6-month plans? Paying $30 per month to begin with would certainly be easier than everything up front…Thanks.

  • Hi there,

So…how many aliases can I have through WordPress?

You can create up to five email aliases (email forwarding) for each domain. You can read more here:

Next, do you offer another plan that’s between the Premium Plan and the Business Plan?

WordPress.com has three plans to choose from. The Personal, the Premium, and the Business.

does WordPress offer any truly month-to-month plans, quarterly plans, or 6-month plans?

All upgrades and renewals can only be paid a year in advance. There’s no monthly payment option. There’s, however, a 30-day refund window for all the plans if you want to try them.
