1. I see that for Premium I have to pay for one year. Can I get a refund if I am dissatisfied before the year is over?
2. With Premium, can I place my own ads too in conjunction with the ads provided by WordPress? Like ads from Google and other sources.

I see that for Premium I have to pay for one year. Can I get a refund if I am dissatisfied before the year is over?
The plan cost can be refunded if it is cancelled within 30 days of purchase. However, custom domains can only be refunded within 48 hours of registration. If the plan was cancelled after 14 days, the domain cost would be deducted from your refund. There is more information about our refund policy here:

WordAds is the official advertising program for WordPress.com sites — purchasing the Premium plan will give you automatic access. Third party advertising networks like Google Adsense are only permitted on sites with the Business plan:

WordAds earnings depend on many factors including the amount of traffic, where that traffic comes from and how many of your visitors use ad blockers. The Earnings & payment
section of the WordAds FAQ page has more information about how earnings are calculated:I’m unable to give you an approximate figure but generally thousands of page views are needed to make meaningful revenue.
