  One of my websites is http://www.themusicalcookbook.com and I purchased a premium package for it. What is the difference between a free site and my premium one? I’d like to use it to its fullest,but have no idea how it makes things better. Could someone explain what I can do with my premium site that I can’t with a free one? Thanks for all your help!

  Hi there!

  A Premium upgrade comes with the following features:

  • A custom domain name and mapping (ie. jamesrsirois.com, versus the free name of your site: jamesrsirois.wordpress.com)
  • You get 10 GB extra storage (13 GB in total, which allows you to upload audio files). A free site comes with 3 GB.
  • You can change a theme’s color, fonts, and many design elements with the Custom Design feature.
  • You get VideoPress with Premium, which allows you to embed uploaded video on your site, and embed video files directly on your pages and posts.
  • You also get the No Ads upgrade. On free sites, there are ads which allows us to provide free hosting, but with the Premium upgrade, they do not appear anywhere on your site.
