Premium Theme Guided Transfer to WordPress.org

    Hi. I would like to purchase the guided transfer for my blog from wordpress.com to wordpress.org. It looks like this is not allowed for a premium theme. Can someone explain why? I was hoping to use the elemin theme once I transferred over. That theme is available for purchase separately on themify.com. If I temporarily switch to a free theme, when the transfer occurs, are the engineers able to also transfer over using the newly purchased elemin theme? Just looking for some additional clarification on why the guided transfer is not an option for premium themes and to determine the steps I need to take to maintain that theme as part of the transfer to self hosted. Thanks.

    WordPress.com themes cannot be transferred to a self-hosted site and Guided transfer does not cover installing an externally purchased theme as part of transferring your .com site to a self hosted site.

    However, once you have your self-hosted site set up, it is a relatively easy thing to install a new theme.
