Premium theme or Premium upgrade

Hi. I have a wordpress.com blog now and thinking about upgrading to Premium, however I want to know if there’s a difference between purchasing a Premium theme, or ‘Going Premium’. With going Premium, I would still need to buy a Premium theme or use a free one, right? By buying a Premium theme I will have more options to customize, but not the mapping and video press included, right?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

There is indeed a difference between purchasing WordPress.com Premium and purchasing a premium theme.

With the WordPress.com Premium plan, you get the following upgrades:

WordPress.com Premium doesn’t include any premium themes — you’re welcome to buy one or more premium themes separately if you’d like to use them on your blog.

Buying a Premium Theme doesn’t include any of those upgrades mentioned above. It only includes the premium theme itself and the theme options included in the theme. (Premium themes don’t include the custom design upgrade that’s part of WordPress.com Premium, although you can buy that upgrade separately if you’d like.)

Please let me know if you have any other questions about that. :)
