Premium theme purchased, then removed from my account

    I purchased the React premium theme on 1st February and began using it on my primary blog site. However I’ve just logged back in to find a default theme has been applied and I no longer have access to it. I’ve checked my credit card statement and it has not been refunded so I am wondering why I can no longer use this theme?

    Yes, I purchased the theme as I wanted it for my business blog (and still do!) but it was applied by mistake to an older blog I had set up but no longer use. I was told (in that thread) that there was no way to move a theme from one blog to another so I was left with no choice other than to ask for a refund of the theme then repurchase it on the correct blog.

    So, it was purchased, refunded then puchased again but now I cannot access it.

    To confirm, the theme was purchased twice and refunded once (as shown on my credit card statement from early February), therefore I should still have access right?

    Thanks for that link. When you purchased your premium theme what came with that purchase was support directly from the theme designer in the Premium Theme Support Forum. There is a link for the specific Premium Theme Support fFrum under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard, but do note that the premium theme must be active and you must be signed in as the user who purchased it in order to see it. Are you loffed in under the correct username account?

    The only links I see are ‘preview, details and purchase’ I am definitely logged in under the correct username account as when I click ‘preview’, the content from the site I created is there showing as a mock up under that theme – exactly how I laid it out when I designed it using the theme I’d purchased in February. It’s as if I never purchased the theme as it is showing with an option to buy and as I said beforre has defaulted to a theme I’ve not used before. I do have the proof of purchase showing the transaction as going through. I really need this theme to be reapplied to my account as I need to launch my website as soon as possible.

  • It’s possible that we may have removed the second theme in error.

    I issued a refund for your most recent purchase, and you should be able to purchase the theme again.

    Hi, could you confirm when the refund was issued? I cannot see anything on my statement for Feb so I’m assuming this is a recent refund as opposed to the refund being given shortly after I purchased? Thanks.

  • I issued the refund yesterday. Depending on your credit card provider, it can take up to 10 days for it to appear on your statement.

    Hi, the refund hasn’t shown up on my account yet. I’ve given it a little while now, presumably it should have appeared by now?

  • The refund definitely left our account on March 8. At this point, I recommend contacting your credit card provider.

    I’ve contacted my credit card provider as you advise, they can confirm there is no record of the refund having been made to my account. Therefore I’m left with little choice but to escalate this to their disputes department unless you can either refund my credit card today or re-apply the correct premium theme to my WordPress account so I can start using the item I purchased.

    This is preventing me from being able to set up my company website and has been dragging on for some time now.

    Please let me know how you intend to resolve this.

    Further to my above message, I have managed to organise an alternative method of getting my website live, therefore please can you just look into and arrange the refund.

  • We’re looking into this, but on our end it appears that the refund was deducted from our account on March 8. If that is the case, there really isn’t much we can do.

    I’m seeking confirmation via a second method.

  • I have just confirmed that that the refund did leave our account on March 8.

    I’m not sure if it will help your credit card provider, but the refund’s transaction ID was 11H7033429849851J.
