Premium Theme reusable?

Hey there,

I’m considering buying the https://perennialdemo.wordpress.com theme. But before paying €79 I’d like to make sure I can use it for more than only one site. Is that true? Can I buy this theme once and use it for as many sites as I want?

Hi Benjamin,

A Premium theme cannot be used on multiple sites, if it is that you would like to use the same theme on more than one site, you would need to purchase the theme for each site.

The theme would however be available for the lifetime of your site. If you are delete the site that it was originally purchased on it may be possible to have it transferred to another one of your sites.

Hi @husterknupp.

In order to get this premium theme you’ll need to have an upgraded plan. Premium and Business plans enable unlimited premium theme. You can find more information about premium features here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

But the plan is related to only one of your websites. So you can use install the theme in only one website per plan. If you what to use the same premium theme for multiple websites you would have to get a Premium theme for each site.

Happy to have helped @husterknupp.

Remeber that there is a bunch of good Free Themes that you can use. So you could have an upgraded plan with a premium theme in on of your sites and install free themes to the others.

Hi there – hope you don’t mind me making a small clarification.

You do not need to upgrade to a plan to buy and activate a premium theme. Buying a premium theme is a one-time purchase and is licensed for the life of your site here on WordPressdotcom. Here’s more on that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/premium-themes/

None-the-less, all Premium themes are included in the Premium and Business plans at no extra cost.

But I’d like to also clarify that even buying a standalone Premium Theme it still can only be used in one of your WordPress.COM sites @husterknupp. I’ve highlighted this information from the same link @justjennifer provided below:

You can also purchase and activate from the WordPress.com Theme Showcase if you are browsing there. You will have the option to choose which one of your sites you want the theme for. If you would like to use the same theme across multiple blogs, you’ll have to purchase the theme for each blog.
