premium themes- A few questions

  Currently my blog is a free wordpress.com domain.

  1. I want to apply a premium theme to my blog. Do I need to upgrade to 99$ per year plan or the 299$ per year plan?

  2. Do I have to choose among the themes available on wordpress.com? Or can I use some other third party theme?

  3. For running ads on my blog, which upgrade is required?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  1) No upgrade is required to buy a Premium Theme –

  2) you can only use the themes here – no outside third party themes allowed

  3) You can’t sell your own ads, that is against the Terms of Service and your blog will be suspended, no notice required

  If you have a custom domain name and enough traffic you can apply to the WordAds program – it is a revenue sharing program with WordPress.COM

  So, I can apply any premium theme to my blog without any upgrade, I just need to purchase the theme. Right?

  That is right, @someshmahanty, just find the theme you want and purchase it and apply it to your site. Many of the premium themes have a lot of features, and there is typically a support document for them that explains how to use and set up the features. If you go to the theme showcase page for the premium theme you are using, there is a link near top right to “Support” which leads to that document.
