Premium to Business Upgrade

  I am new to wordpress.com. As I am just getting started, I am considering the advantages and disadvantages of the premium and business options.

  If I start with the premium plan right now, is there some kind of subsidized rate if I change to the business plan after a couple of months? Or, will end up having to purchase the entire business plan even if I already paid for the entire premium plan.
