Premium upgrade

Hi I’m wanting to upgrade my package to a premium account, this includes a domain name, I’m wondering if I need to do any redirecting of my site once I change domain name on this package or is that taken care of for me?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

So do you want to keep your current URL, except the “wordpress” ending, like this:
mylifeinrosetintedglasses.com
or do you want to change to an entirely new url, like this:
yourURL.com

If you want to keep your current URL, except the “wordpress” ending (mylifeinrosetintedglasses.com), I’m quite sure this is taken care of when you upgrade. I haven’t done it myself, but one of the main reasons to use WordPress.com instead of WordPress.org is that it’s more plug-and-play. Almost everything is taken care of for you.
However, if this is incorrect, and you have to redirect it yourself, you also get email and chat support when you upgrade, so you could just conctact them and they’ll help you out. So you’re good either way.
However, if you want a brand new domain name, there is a useful forum post about it here. The conclusion in this forum post is:
You cannot change a URL once it is created, but all you have to do is make another blog on your existing account and then transfer the stuff over to the new blog. Type “export” into the support page search box for more information on moving your stuff over to the new blog.
