premium upgrade

  I would like to upgrade to the premium. But I’ve already has a domain somewhere else, which I would like to cancel/delete. How do you think I proceed?

  2) If I upgrade to premium, do I need to do all the transfers from WordPress to my domain?

  Don’t cancel the domain. Just point it to WordPress.com using the domain mapping upgrade that comes with your Premium bundle. If you cancel it, you might lose it forever.

  If you get the upgrade, you don’t transfer anything anywhere. You just get a new URL for your blog here. If you have a blog elsewhere that is currently using the domain, it will be “homeless” when you move the domain to point here. Nobody will be able to find it.

  Thank you.

  The new site with the domain is not currently working well…the hosting is bad.

  I would like something better that I can manage myself. So I would like to cancel the external website (was running for a month) and sign up with WordPress which I’ve been using 2 years…

  Any thoughts?

  Go ahead, but export the content first and import it to a WP.com blog to make sure you get it all. THEN you can delete the old blog and point the domain name here. http://en.support.wordpress.com/add-a-domain/
