Premium Upgrade
-
I am sure it is staring at me, but can’t find a clear explanation of what one gets when one upgrades from a free .wordpress.com acct. (All I get is the page that prompts for the $99 annual fee.)
In particular I am interested in setting up Affiliate Marketing ads.
Thanks for the help!Lance

If you want to have an affiliate marketing blog then hire a web host and set up a WordPress.ORG install. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Please read > http://en.support.wordpress.com/affiliate-links/
WordPress.com allows bloggers to insert text affiliate links within post and page content to most third-party affiliate programs, provided they are not the primary content of the site in question.
Image affiliate links in posts and pages and any affiliate links in sidebar or footer widget areas, are still considered to be advertising and are not allowed on WordPress.com blogs.
You aren’t allowed to initiate advertising at all on any WordPress.com blog. We do have an advertising program called WordAds, which you can read more about here: http://wordads.co/
Advertising outside of WordAds at WordPress.com is not allowed. For full details, please see:

http://en.wordpress.com/tos/There are no restrictions on advertising if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities. Hosting recommendations are at the following link if you are interested: http://get.wp.com/hosting/
