PREMIUM UPGRADE CANCELLATION REFUND. NEED HELP.
-
It seems a person has to go through a real process to get the info they need to be able to get to the help they need. Well anyway, I upgraded to the WordPress premium plan and shortly thereafter I realized I did not need it. I then clicked on the cancel and refund link. I went to my gmail inbox to find the cancellation confirmation email but it was not there. I checked my gmail everyday for a week and still did not see it. After several days trying to find out how to get help from WordPress support, I finally learned that the confirmation email might be in the social section of my gmail, which it was. I clicked the “confirm cancellation” button. Unfortunately, I did not immediately remember that this cancellation link should already be expired since it has been way past 12 hours since I requested cancellation. A message had informed me that this link was good for only 12 hours.
Well, when I logged into my wordpress.com dashboard there was a message that said —“Upgrade not cancelled or refunded. There was a problem with the cancellation.”— But then I noticed that my website “had” been downgraded back to the “free version”.
I just took a break from writing this post to check my billing history. It shows that the $99 has been subtracted. I checked my bank account but the refund is not showing up.
I’m not sure what to think. Is the refund going to show up within seven days as the confirmation informed me? I don’t know, I guess we will see. 30 days goes by fast. I’m just trying to stay ahead of the game. Is there some way I can find out if my refund is actually on the way. I can use that $99 dollars on other things I really need.
Sure would appriciate a responce. Thanks! http://rafexchange.wordpress.com

See here:
Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades
http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/Dashboard > Store > Billing History
http://en.support.wordpress.com/Billing-History/Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades

Hi @rafexchange,
I can confirm that a full refund was issued for the Premium bundle purchase. You can see a receipt for that refund here:
https://rafexchange.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=billing-history
Refunds normally take 3-5 business days to appear on your bank account. Can you let me know if the funds do not appear by April 1st or so?

Hi Jeremeylduvall,
Apologise if it’s impolite to hijack another person thread, but I am dealing with a similar issue. I upgraded to WordPress premium, but realised I needed wordpress.org – for plugins benefits. Fortunately my host ‘GoDaddy’ was doing a deal with WP and I brought that.
I tried many times to cancel and refund my WordPress premium (for blacticulate.com), but no joys.
Can you please help.

Hi @blacticulate,
I’ve refunded the charge and removed the upgrade from your account. You can see the refund for the receipt here:
https://wordpress.com/me/billing
The funds should be available on your bank account within the next several days!

I can’t seem to start a new thread.
And without meaning to push my luck (as i’m sure this needs to be a new thread), could you please assist me in ensuring my domain name http://www.blacticulate.com is attached to my WP.org platform. If it helps my hosting is GoDaddy, which had a wizard process, but was buggy because it kept on attaching itself to my then existing blacticulate WP.com premium site.
Not sure if the above makes sense? Can you please help.
Thanks

Hi @blacticulate,
It doesn’t appear as though the domain blacticulate.com is registered with WordPress.com. However, it does have WordPress.com name servers. You’ll need to login to the registrar where you purchased the domain (GoDaddy) and change the name servers back to the default (point them back to GoDaddy). GoDaddy has some instructions on changing name servers here:
Can you give that a try? If you have any more trouble, you can use this link to open a new thread:
