Premium Upgrade Edit Permalink Structure

  Hi there, I’ve got 3 questions.

  1. I’m currently using a premium account trial period…but I’m not noticing anything different other than my ability to edit my theme, where can I access other features? Also how can I access “direct email support” that was advertised as part of the premium upgrade?

  2. If I purchase a domain, am I able to change the permalink structure of my posts, i.e. remove the dates from displaying in the links? I’ve seen how to do this in wordpress.org, but I can’t find anything for wordpress.com

  3. I’m really just interested in getting a new domain for my blog and getting rid of ads…is it best to purchase these individually on the upgrade page? If I purchase a domain can I disable the ads?

  You cannot change the permalink structure on any WordPress.COM hosted blog regardless of upgrades.

  See here https://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/ and note the first bullet point.

  If you have a paid upgrade, please use the “Contact Support” form, where you will receive a choice of having staff answer your question publicly or privately.

  No. You cannot change the permalink structure on any WordPress.COM hosted blog regardless of upgrades.

  You can purchase individual upgrades for both domain mapping and for No-ads. http://travelspaintips.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
