Premium upgrade vs domain mapping?

  I bought a premium upgrade, although I think I just needed to buy domain mapping- as I am now hosting my domain through godaddy. I don’t really understand the entire process, but I think I want a refund and to just purchase domain mapping.

  I am a bit confused about all of this and could use some help. Thank you.

  e upgrade, you can request a refund yourself directly from the Store section of your Dashboard

  Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.

  You can apply for a refund then Staff will help you reduce the purchase to a domain mapping upgrade instead.

  WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.

  @sannaeliasson, do you want to cancel everything in the premium bundle other than the domain mapping? If so, please confirm and I’ll update our records and issue you a refund of $99 minus $13 for domain mapping.

  Well I am a bit unsure. I have bought a domain and web hosting through godaddy, and then I use wordpress through godaddy. Do I need anything directly through wordpress?

  I have also bought a premium wordpress theme through themeforest, which I uploaded to godaddy… I do not think I am using my account directly through wordpress at all….

  Hi sannaeliasson,

  It sounds like you are planning to host your site on GoDaddy rather than on WordPress.com. Is that correct? If so, you do not need any upgrades from us to use your site on another hosting platform, and I can refund you for your entire purchase.

  I have removed the premium bundle from your account and refunded you $99. You should see the funds in your account within a few days.
