Premium Vs Business Plan (Isolated site infrastructure)
-
Hello, I am looking to move across to the WordPress.com Premium or Business Plan.
I have noticed that since early 2026, Premium accounts can install plugins (which is something I require). With that, the account looks more affordable and everything else seems to align with what I need.
However, the Business Plan states in the comparison chart (https://wordpress.com/pricing/#lpc-pricing), that it has a “Isolated site infrastructure” – Which I read to mean, it is in principle close to dedicated hosting, (that you are cocooned from other sites concerning security and performance).
I would pay for that, but I need to verify that it isn’t available with the Premium Plan.
Is the Premium Plan basically shared-hosting? While the Business Plan is near to what would be considered a Dedicated Server?
Thank you!

Hi there,
This is actually a mistake that hasn’t been updated in our pricing materials since changing the features for the Personal and Premium plans. I’ve called it to the attention of our marketing team so they can hopefully get that changed soon, but yes, all our paid plans offer that isolated site infrastructure functionality, meaning the sites are quarantied from one another instead of being on a shared instance.
