preparing a post > not ready to publish

  How can a post be prepared, to see how it looks, but so it will not appear on the front page until ready?

  Under “visibility > public” thereis an empty box in front of “Stick this post to the front page”, but all of my posts have been going to the front page without that being checked. What does it mean?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Visibility is the right place, Private the right choice for what you want.

  A Sticky post is a different thing: means a post that will permanently remain up top in your front page (i.e. won’t be displaced by more recent ones).
