Its working fine in Firefox beta 3.But I am seeing following characters when I open it in IE6 on top of my page. What is reason for this?

The code is there. It’s just not visable as it’s commented out. View your page source to see it. Not sure why it’s showing up in IE though. That’s wierd.
Looks like you write your post with Microsoft Word and copied and pasted it into a post? If so, you’re going to have to edit it out of there as it’s not valid html code.

There are known issues when trying to paste text from MS Word. If you are using the rich text editor in wordpress then there is a special icon on the advanced tool bar which when clicked brings up a window where you can paste the text from Word and then insert it into your post. To get to the advanced toolbar, click on the last icon on the right in the editor (looks like rows of dots in a square). The paste from word icon looks like a page with a “W” on it. Click on it and a window will pop up where you can paste the text from word, and then click insert. It strips out all the code and pastes it as plain text. MS Word adds a bunch of extra code that can cause problems, and using this function in the rich text editor will clean things up and paste it as plain text.
Alternately you can paste the text from word into a text editor such as Notepad or Textedit (mac) first and then copy that text and paste it into your post.

Thanks all who replied. Most of you are correct that it was “miscrosoft word” which was causing this problem. I posted the text from MS word which left some hidden formatting. I have removed those now and its fine now.
Thanks again

@pakquran
You can copy and paste from Word without this problem re-occurring provided that you use icon 16 F on the advanced toolbar in the visual rich text editor
