Pressed a button and now I can't see background on sides

  Hi,
  I’m SUPER new to blogging and have been searching the forum for an answer and I can’t seem to dig it up.
  I accidentally pressed a button on my keyboard and now my site is wide and I cannot see the background pattern on the side anymore. How can I get the pattern back to be shown on the top and sides? Also, if I want to go back and forth between the two to see which one is better, how can I go back to viewing it as “wide” again?
