pressrow custom image probs

  • Unknown's avatar

I’m trying to upload a custom image to pressrow but it won’t let me.

“Choose file. No File Selected.” is all grayed out and when I run my cursor over it, it won’t allow me to click it and open my computer files.

    I’m on a PowerBook G4.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

I have the superb “PRESSROW” so I clicked on >Presentation >”Custom Image Header” to see what happens. I didn’t see: “Choose File”
    I got the following:

    Upload New Header Image
Here you can upload a custom header image to be shown at the top of your blog instead of the default one. On the next screen you will be able to crop the image.

Images of exactly 770 x 200 pixels will be used as-is.

Choose an image from your computer:

–and an “upload” button. Is that what you saw? Or: something else? Do you have an image on your computer –ready to upload?

Just curious: when you got PRESSROW did it come with header image of old, torn books? Or some other image/the one on the “Presentation” page?

Yes, it came with the old torn books. And I have my own image of my own torn books I’m going to upload.

I get everything you do. Except, you didn’t mention that to the left of the upload button is the “choose file” button — which is grayed out and won’t let me click it to choose a file. I can’t upload one until I choose it!

I’m sorry — I forgot to leave the URL for my blog:

Okay, the exact words “choose file” are not on my page, but I do have:

Choose an image from your computer: [above a ]
    “Browse…” button

when I clicked it: I got a window, with all kinds of things listed (that are in my computer, on my desktop, etc.). Do you have “Browse” button? Can you click on it?

How about: refresh or open a new page and try again? (Also, since it’s easy to slip out/onto different template, verify you’re still on “PRESSROW”)

  • Unknown's avatar

Nope, no browse button. I assumed it would show up after I clicked “choose file,” but I can’t click that.

Okay, I’m exposed (!): non-techie here, who Really likes PRESSROW, so I responded. So your choices: -wait for a techie/anyone but me to reply -re-load PRESSROW and see if Browse button is enabled -send a Feedback to Support and ask them ‘what’s up’

*tip-toeing quietly out, looks for a techie*

I don’t see that “choose file” box on my MacBook as well if you’re using Safari. Visual text error maybe? But do try FF browser and it will show, seriously.

FF browser? Not sure what you mean.

    And yes, I’m using Safari.

So. Here is what I did.

I went to my Dell PC and there, I was able to upload the new picture, crop it, do everything. So now when I’m on my Dell, I can see my new picture.

When I’m on Safari/PowerBook, I see a big black rectangle.

    Curiouser and curiouser.

Safari has issues in general, not just with wordpress. You may want to try Firefox or another mac browser.

    ::slapping forehead::

    I knew that.

I’ve never downloaded firefox. Guess it’s time. Sigh.
