Pressrow theme – Parent and child pages

I have tried everything within my limited knowledge base to create a parent page that has links to all of the child pages on it. Is it my theme that won’t allow this? I have a page “Adventures in Prison” and want to be able to click on it and see a link for each post that I have done related to that topic. Right now I just keep adding each new post to that parent page but it is not user firendly. Tried to do it by writing my own links onto that page and that did not work either.
    I am a novice…

Hmm..I don’t quite understand. You want a separate page that contains links to all other posts? That you would have to maintain and update manually… and not sure if possible.

Most others here uses categories that will do the job for you. You give categories names, tick off what categories a post belong to, and when a surfer klick on – say – category “holiday”, all the posts categorised as holiday pops up in a nifty list). Categories will be a list or cloud in your right hand bar.

I’m not sure exactly what you are saying here. It sounds to me as if you are trying to create an index page, which boblets is quite correct in saying you have to do manually.

Rather than pages, I agree with boblets: use categories. What that does is a) not require you to post on a specific page and b) allows those posts to be on the front page of your blog.

At least one theme – MistyLook – displays a parent page with a notation that it has child pages and lists them. I don’t know if other themes do, but I assume there must be some.
