Prevent featured image from recurring in post
-
Hi,
I would like to prevent the featured image for each blog post from showing up at the top of the page. Basically, I want a featured image to accompany the post on the big slider on the homepage, but don’t like how the featured images currently re-appear at the top of the blog post itself. I’d like to fix this, but this is beyond my very limited CSS capabilities. Any kind soul’s help would be really appreciated. I am using the Outspoken theme.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Howdy.
Likely the best place to get help with this would be the theme’s forum or the CSS forum. Those folks are the experts, and will get you squared away right quick.

You need to be clear on the fact that every blog here wearing the same theme is using the same underlying template (displayed on the loive demo site) and you cannot use CSS editing to edit the underlying HTML and PHP in any theme. Please read this support doc re: CSS editing: Custom design – Frequently Asked Questions

thanks, @timethief – i was unaware that you couldn’t remove elements with custom css – appreciate the knowledge – so.much.to.learn :)

Hi there,
You are welcome. I predate the support docs and all but one support staff member even being on staff. -
Hi @noebiewan, while we can’t remove the div from the generated HTML visitors see, we can certainly hide a lot of things with CSS. I took a look at your Atlanta Street Style post and do not see a featured image at the top of that post: http://acrocollective.net/2015/07/05/atlanta-street-style/ .
I do see featured images showing on your home page in the Latest Entries section. Are these the featured images you are talking about? If not, can you point me to a post where the featured image is showing up?
