Prevent/Disable Thumbnails

  Hi,
  I’m trying to disable thumbnails.
  By this I’m referring to for example:
  I have a 1024 by 768 image I want to upload however, I want that the maximum size once posted on wordpress to be around 500width and whatever height.

  Right now I’m able to upload an image and click “full-size” which compresses/crops the image down to 500pixels or so(which is fine with me) however, when you click on it it acts like a thumbnail sending you to the full/original 1024 by 768 image.

  Any help is appreciate.

  I believe I found the option, is “none”.
