Preventing Emails Advising to Moderate Blog Post Title

    Hello All,

    I am maintaining a blog for my employer’s WP site. As the site’s owner, he is receiving lots of emails sent from WordPress entitled: “Please moderate: ‘Blog Post Title’”

    These emails are originating from spam bots trying to comment on blog posts. However, all comments are disabled across the site.

    Under my administrative access, I went to Discussion Settings and unchecked both boxes: Anyone posts a comment / A comment is held for moderation. Furthermore, I disabled all pingbacks and trackbacks. I also installed the No Self Pings plugin, where I entered the url of the bot sending the comment request. It should be noted the Akismet Anti-Spam is active.

    Despite such attempts, my employer is still receiving these emails.

    Can anyone suggest a way to prevent these emails?

    Hi Chris,

    Of what site are you speaking? I only see one site in your account, https://ticklemetimbers.wordpress.com/, and that site is set to private, and haven’t received any comments, spam or otherwise, yet.
