Preventing hotlinks

  Hello,

  I’ve been having trouble with people hotlinking to images from my WordPress blog. All of the art on my blog is reprinted with permission from the original artists, so by having a site set up where hotlinking is possible, I’m breaking my contract with these artists (wherein I say they will be credited anywhere their artwork is posted).

  I’ve searched help and the forums but not found anything posted within the last few years (links on the older posts all seem broken). Can you offer any advice?

  Hi John – unfortunately, there’s not any way to keep people from linking to images on a public blog. We have some tips for measures you can take here: Prevent Content Theft
