Preventing spam comments

I am getting hundreds of ‘comments,’ mostly in the form of viagra sellers. I want to eliminate all comment opportunities on my blog. Can you give me precise instructions to do so?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What is the URL of the site you refer to?
We are unable to assist unless or until you provide the site URL you refer to starting with https:// so we can verify hosting.

Hi and thank you for your detailed response.
I think I suffer from the ignorance of not knowing the inner workings and hidden mechanisms of all the WordPress combinations.
All I know is that I am a GoDaddy.com customer and I set my http://www.frankfoodandtravel.com blog directly through the GoDaddy site.
All I’m trying to do is eliminate these bots, etc., from adding viagra and other comments that I have to delete. Last time I looked there were over 800.
I’m sorry I didn’t realize that WordPress.com and WordPress.org were different.
Thanks for the advice and best regards,Frank
