Preview Changes vs View post
-
“Preview Changes” does not show me what the post is going to look like when I “Publish”.
How come?
What am I missing?Circumvented the problem by simply publishing (several times) while editing so I can be sure what the change will look like.
Seems like a strange way to do things.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you using IE 9.0? I was having an issue with the Preview button after I upgraded to IE 9.0. I just switched back to IE 8.0 and everything is back to working as it should.

milk,
Thanks for the quick reply.
No, I am not using IE 9.0. I am using Safari + Google on an iMac running Snow Leopard.

Hmmm. I’m having the same problem with Safari 5.1.7 on iMac running Lion. I also tried FireFox 12.0 with no luck. The only work-around is to “update” the page. This just started happening in the last couple of weeks or so. Can’t for the life of me figure out what’s changed.

When I was having my issue, I would have two windows open…the draft post in EDIT mode, and a preview of the post that I got to by going into the listings of posts, DRAFTS, and clicking the preview button there (for some reason it would work there).
When I made changes in EDIT mode, I would save them then head over to the other window and refresh the page. Perhaps this same work-around would also work for those of you having issues with other browsers.
Did you always have this issue with the particular browser or is it a new issue that may have come about because of an upgrade to a newer version?

tagteam,
This problem shows up on various browsers, so I think it is systemic with WordPress and not with the browser.
Be that as it may, the work-around seems to circumvent the problem nicely, so it is not a show stopper for me.
