Preview functionality not working on custom post type archive templates

    System Report

    • WordPress Version 6.7.1
    • Custom Theme
    • Custom Gutenberg blocks built using ACF

    The issue I am encountering is specific to custom post types and the page that is created/used on the site for that post types archive template.

    The preview functionality works on all pages, including archive pages, if that page is set to draft. However, if that page is set to published and I add some new content that I want to preview before updating the public facing page I would click Preview in a new tab button.

    Clicking the preview in a new tab button works as expected for all pages except those that are being used as archive.php template pages.

    I have tested this on a fresh WordPress install and on this site with all plugins (except ACF) disabled and the issue persists.

    Any help would be much appreciated!
