Preview Homepage Posts

  Is there a way to only show a preview of your posts on the homepage, that way readers will need to click on the title to view the entire post? Thanks, still kinda new to this sort of thing.

  Hello. :)

  Eighties displays the full content of a post by default, however, there’s a couple of ways that you can create excerpts to display in place of the full content:

  • You can place a More Tag at the point you wish for the “continue reading” text to appear. More information on the More Tag, including steps to add one, can be found here:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/more-tag

  • Another option is for you to create a custom excerpt:
