Preview images are not displayed

Hi,
I recently started a photography website on based on wordpress. My problem is that when I create a gallery, either by creating a new page or a new post, most of the preview images won’t be displayed. There will only be this icon, indicating that the file could not be found (or whatever it means). Feel free to have a look at it: https://jodeges.com/index.php/2017/04/20/gallery-test/
I don’t know anything about the stuff related to the server, but my friend who created this website for me and is hosting it on his server checked everything, and apparently the problem is not a server problem. In case it is relevant: the theme I am using is called ‘Hitchcock’, but I’ve tried it with the default theme, too, and it didn’t work.

You need to post to the wordpress.ORG support forums.
That site on our WordPress.COM servers. You are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
