Preview is different from live site – widget alignment

Please help!!
The live preview shows some widgets lining up horizontally.
The actual web site has them lined up vertically. You can go to my site and look at ‘The Other stuff’ section to see (verticalsmoke.com). I want the widgets to line up horizontally, as shown on the preview.

I’ve had a look at your site, verticalsmoke.com and it’s powered by WordPress.org (the self hosted version), rather than WordPress.com.
The differences between WordPress.org and WordPress.com are explained here:

You might also want to try contacting the authors of the Zerif Lite theme you are using, as they might be able to help you out.
