Preview issues.
-
When I preview my draft blog post before publishing, the paragraphs disappear making the body of the text look like one and the words over hang. IN the draft page the lay out of the blog post looks perfect, it’s only when I hit preview before publishing that the problem appears. How can I fix this as the blog does not look ok copy looks horrid?
Many thanks
Nina

Hi Nina!
I took a look at your draft post here:
https://talemagic.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=46&action=edit
And the problem appears to be that all your paragraphs got wrapped in
<div>tags instead of the usual<p>tags. (You can see this in the Text Editor)I normally see this occur when folks copy and paste from a word processor into a our post editor. Could you let me know how you went about writing this post? Could you also specify whether you use the post editor in /wp-admin/ or at wordpress.com/post?
In the meantime, to fix your post what I recommend is this:
- Edit the post, using the Visual Editor, and highlight all your text (you can leave the picture as-is).
- Cut the text (Cmd+X on mac)
- Then use Paste as Text to add the text back into the Visual Editor.
The keyboard shortcode for pasting as plain text is Cmd+Shift+V on Mac.

Alex that’s great thank you!
I made the initial draft in Evernote and cut and paste it across, editing in the wordpress.com/post.
Will give this a go ;-)
Huge thanks again.

Hi Nina,
Ah! Evernote strikes again, haha. I’ve had this happen to me too.
If you keep working this way, just remember to use that Paste as plain text into the post editor and you should be all set. :)
