I’m 99% done building my site which is not live yet and as I was checking everything today the ‘view site’ preview suddenly stopped showing the content for all of the pages except for the homepage. I have twelve other pages linked to the homepage and when I click on the various links the only thing that appears on each page is the header. But if I click ‘edit’ on the blank page then some of the content for the page appears in ‘edit’ mode. However if I try to navigate to any of these pages in the lefthand tool bar by clicking on ‘pages’ they all appear blank. My premium account doesn’t have access to plug-ins or the ability to clear cache which seem to be the common solve for this problem with plans that have plug-ins. Would love to be able to see my site again so I can launch it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi there,

I checked the product links on the homepage of your site and noticed that for me they are linking to the individual pages as expected. Usually when a change like this affects multiple pages like this, it indicates an issue with the template (that they all use) but that appears to be working correctly.

Were you able to sort this out on your own, or did you need a hand still?

I also noticed that you are selling product, and wanted to point out that you can add payment buttons to each of those to offer them for sale without the need for customers to email you directly. If you’re interested in setting those up we have a guide here that will walk you through it:

Great looking site so far, the product shots are nice!

Hi, I received an email from WordPress support with instructions on how to solve it but it just happened again and this time the solve is not available. The first time this happened the solve was to go to ‘manage all templates’ and ‘clear customization’ on ‘single posts’ and ‘pages’. I think it was just pages and that solved it for a moment. I just edited a single word of text on my ‘Home’ page then saved it and once again all of my other pages are once again missing photos and out of format. So I tried the same fix but this time there is no option to ‘clear customization’ on any of my pages. The only option available is to ‘delete’ my home page which I’m guessing is not the solve. It’s incredibly difficult to manage my business website when editing a single word of text on one page wrecks all of the other pages for no apparent reason…or warning….or solution. Hoping to get a solve to this so it’s not a constant problem.

Hi, thanks for the compliment on my photos. I received an email from WordPress support which solved this problem but it just happened again and this time the solve doesn’t work. The original solution email advised me to navigate to ‘manage all templates’ then ‘clear customization’ on the ‘single post’ and ‘pages’ templates. I think I only had the option to clear customization n the ‘pages’ and ‘home’ templates but either way it worked. However, today I just changed a single word of text on my home page then saved it and now all of my other pages are missing photos and the formatting is off on them as well. So I tired to use the same fix but this time when I navigate to ‘manage all templates’ none of my templates have the option to ‘clear customization’ (or any other option) except for my home template which only has the option to ‘delete’ which I’m guessing is not the solution. So my site is currently live with missing content. It’s odd that changing a single word of text on Home would result in a cascading, seismic shift of content on every other page. Hoping to get a solution that fixes this so that it’s not a constant problem every time I update my site.

    Hi again,

However, today I just changed a single word of text on my home page then saved it and now all of my other pages are missing photos and the formatting is off on them as well.

Can you tell us more about the edit you made? What is the word you changed and where was it located within the design? Something in the display of knives on your homepage? Or something located in the header or footer?

The header and footer specifically are elements that appear broadly across the site and may appear on other pages. Also can you clarify what changed about the formatting before and after? I did see the site previously but if I visit now I’m not sure that I can see what has changed. I may need you to point it out.

    Thanks!
