Preview of draft article on Classic Editor v preview of draft docon Block Editor
-
I have a draft article which is a reblog with a dozen or so links after it.
It has been a bit of a struggle as I don’t normally use the block editor, but it has resulted in the desired result BUT it shows up differently on the classic editor where it shows up as just an ordinary link and looks awful wheras on the block editor it shows up correctly with the box whether it is desktop, tablet or mobile. It is important for a number of reasons that it shows up properly and don’t want to post it only to find out it doesn’t display properly. Can anyone advise please? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there

I understand your concern. It is common for content to display differently in the block editor compared to the classic editor but the live view should appear the same. We highly recommend using the block editor as it offers significantly more features and capabilities.
Could you please provide the draft post link so we can review it? If I understand correctly, you want to ensure that the post appears the same after publishing as it does in the preview. Is that correct? -
Resolved now thank you. I had to start the article again just using the block editor which was fairly easy as it was short. I simply cannot get on with the block editor and if that was all there was, I would have to move my blog site somewhere else! Thank you!

Glad to know you resolved this on your own!
I know this is frustrating for you and many others. It’s hard to start over again once you’ve become accustomed to specific software. The reality is that each editor we keep around takes resources to maintain. With the continual development and improvements that have been made to the new WordPress block editor, it no longer makes sense for us to maintain multiple, separate editors. We’re aware that creating great software will never make every person happy. We’re doing our best to choose the best path between many good options, weighing all of the inevitable trade-offs that come from making changes, listening, shipping, and then doing it all over again.
