Preview URL is Different from Usual URL

    Hello.

So, I am trying to preview a post I am writing (on classic editor if that makes a difference) but it tells me the page isn’t found. After a while of looking for help through Google, I noticed that the URL for the preview is https://linseyloveshorror.blog/, which is the domain I bought because it was cheap, but since I’m still on the free plan, I can’t use it till I can afford to upgrade. My free domain is linseyloveshorror.wordpress.com, which is what the URL changes to when I view an already published post. It doesn’t change for the preview, however.

The strange thing is, it was working perfectly well yesterday, so I don’t understand why it’s an issue now. I cleared my cookies, which some of the Google answers said, but no difference. It was also recommended that I disable plugins, but since my plan is free, I don’t have any.

I just want to preview my posts before I publish them. Any ideas?

    TIA.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It’s okay, I fixed it. I just had to change my domain back to the free version. Wasn’t easy to find but I got there.

Thanks for the update! And yes, your preview would not work properly if you set your domain to be linseyloveshorror.blog without having the paid plan that would allow you to use that domain as your primary.

While upgrading to the Personal plan will allow you to use your domain as your primary, it also removes any ads from your site, increases the storage of your Media Library to 6GB (including adding the ability to upload audio files), and access to high-quality email support from our Happiness Engineers.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! We’re here to help.
