previewing a post while editing

    Hi all – when I am in the edit page working on a Post, if I click the PREVIEW in the upper right corner (in the Publish section), it replies that I don’t have “permission” to view drafts.

    I’m set as the site “administrator”, and I created and edit all the blog posts. I didn’t used to have this problem until the new version was put in. Is there something I was supposed to change in my profile or something?

    You have to have Saved the draft in order for it to show up in Preview. Have you done that?

    Thanks raincoaster – My mistake. I had clicked “preview” as way to view a post that had been published (and not further altered). I just tried now doing the more normal thing (edit, save, preview) and of course it worked fine.

    I have the same problem, even though I have saved the post. The post in question is Pending (written by another author) but I cannot preview it as the administrator. I am able to preview new drafts written by me.
