I can access my blog, do a post, but when I click on preview post page I get the page cannot open. When I add an “s” to the http and hit enter it opens. This is with Internet Explorer 10. Why is this happening?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes and … does this help?

If you sign in to WordPress.com via a non-secure Internet connection, like a public Wi-Fi connection at your local coffee shop, your account may be more vulnerable to hijacking. To keep the bad guys out, we recommend using HTTPS. http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/#enabling-https

Did you save the post before previewing it?

Do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Firefox or Google Chrome?

Yes I saved my post…. And yes the problem only exists in Internet Explorer. Firefox, Chrome and Safari work fine. I know you will tell me to use those browsers, but I have lived with IE for years (good or bad), and I don’t understand why WordPress and IE are suddenly incompatible? At least for me they are….

I have done that. I seem to keep getting the same solutions and sorry they do not work. Is there a problem with Internet Explorer that you can acknowledge or am I the only one?

Can you please try clearing out your browser cache?

Okay, I “may” have found the answer (hate even saying this given how long it’s been a problem).

I added https://wordpress.com, https://wp.com, http://wordpress.com and http://wp.com to the trusted sites area (internet options/security) and it seems to work now. Again I will play with it some more to be sure.

    I was missing the http://wordpress.com.
