When I was a college student, I have an account under my college email address. Under that account, I had a site: https://alexaciattarelli.wordpress.com
Upon graduating, the email address was deleted and now I can’t log in or access that account. Is there any way to take back that site as my own? It is all my information and I would like to change it/have some control over it.
If I cannot reclaim that account, how can that page be deleted? Please let me know asap.

We will need proof of ownership in order to grant access to the account. You’ll want to submit this form: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery We will then follow up by email.

I do not have access to the email account that the site was under so i cannot access an activation url/key, the site was very basic so I never made purchases so no transaction id and the two factor authentication isn’t working/ all that keeps popping up is that “We could not find an account that matches your login. Please check your spelling. Note that we can only provide support for WordPress.com accounts – do not use this page for your own WordPress.org blog.”

All I can do is send a note to the email address connected to the account that you’re trying to access. Hopefully this email will reach you. We aren’t able to grant access unless you can provide proof of ownership for alexaciattarelli.wordpress.com.
