“Previous entries” | “Next entries” not always clickable with Opera 9

  Is it just me or has anyone observed the same weird phenomenon?
  I believe it must have occurred since I switched to Opera 9 that I sometimes cannot click the “Previous entries” and “Next entries” links at the bottom of pages. (Default theme.)
  The same happens with the links for the previous and next post at the top of single post pages. Reloading the page does not help.
  The funny thing is, sometimes the links do work. At other times, the links do not even show up or look scrambled.

  I looked at the source code, and unsurprisingly, the links looked totally normal. When I look at Opera’s links panel, the “previous entries” | “next entries” links are there and can be used.

  Trying Firefox, I did not have this, so I suspect it’s a browser issue. Just curious if anyone has an idea…

  I think I heard that Opera has had issues with blogs before.

  I haven’t heard anything. Seems that it would be rather stange though as it would just be a normal link. When you hover over the link, do you get the URL in the status bar along the bottom?

  No, I don’t. The mouse does not change either.

  It seems to me that whenever this link problem occurs, loading another page and going back seems to help. Very strange.

  as for me, i cannot click on the hide text button after i upload my custom header image and want to edit it. i’m using firefox.

  I had to click on it three times for it to work with Netscape 7.2.

  I got some kind of the same problem when reading the WordPress.com News blog using Opera 9. Sometimes the next and previous links just disappear from the page. If I scroll down the page and go back up they’re usually back and I can click on them.
  Other times it works perfectly.

  When I was at Blogger, I couldn’t use Opera because certain features went missing.

  If you do a websearch you will find the issues with opera but I recall that Podz included a very useful article in the FAQs blog under “wider issues” that’s all about known browser issues for all kinds of browsers and here’s the link to it http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/06/16/know-your-browser/
