    I cancelled but have now changed my mind. Can I get my original site back or do I have to start over?

    Hi there!

    It does look like your domain and site were hosted here. Typically, when a site hosted here has its domain expire, the content can still be seen at the free WordPress.com URL. However, in your case, there’s no content at paperbackwriterbiz.wordpress.com because it looks like you deleted the content there around 3 months ago.

    Looking at your account, it looks like you cancelled the domain registration here around the same time frame.

    The domain itself is not available to be repurchased until 2023-02-11 since it was cancelled and the grace period to recover it had expired. Regarding your content, if you did not have any backup, then that content would have been lost as we aren’t able to recover content deleted by you after 15 days have passed. That’s when the WordPress software automatically empties any content in your site’s trash folder automatically.

    You can use the Internet Archive Wayback Machine to pull up a past, cached version of your site and can copy and paste any posts or pages to new ones on your site to try and recover some of that content.
