Previous Website controller disciplined and sacked.

We are a social organisation and I am the new Lodge Secretary. The previous Lodge Secretary has been Expelled. He refuses to release records and passwords. We would like to retain the Website so need to have access changed to me as the new Secretary. There will be no cooperation from the previous Secretary.

Hi there,
If you need to recover access to the account, and you are familiar with the email/username used, you can try to reset the password: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If you no longer have access to the email address associated with your WordPress.com account and can’t log in, the next best step is to complete the Account Recovery Form: Account Recovery Form
Provide as much information as possible, such as transaction IDs, activation links, backup codes, or anything else that could help prove ownership. Check this guide for reference: Account Recovery Guide.
Please let me know if that method worked for you.

As you have a paid plan, it’s very easy to restore access to that site by using the Transaction ID as described at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#verify-your-account-ownership

HELP! Alas the links are great if you already have the Access codes. This is unusual. The former honorary Secretary was kicked out and refuses to assist. The authority to have the Website is recorded in the Minutes of our Meetings and fees paid for by the Members. Options? We would like to retain/take over the existing Website or can we remove the Website and start again? Thanks to All.

You don’t need access codes or whatever, you only need the transaction ID, nothing else. You can retrieve the Transaction ID as described at https://wordpress.com/support/billing-history/#retrieve-a-transaction-id
