Previously purchased domain gone, and subscription not recognized

  • Unknown's avatar

When I became an explorer subscriber (April of 2023), I purchased the domain http://www.greennthings.com . Since then, I have stopped the renewal of the subscription, but cannot access the domain anymore. Let me clarify that the year of explorer subscription paid for should still be valid until April 2024. I cannot even use the features that explorer offers such as email support. How do I regain control of my domain and why isn’t wordpress recognizing the subscription that I paid over $100 for? Please help…

I need assistance in redeeming my domain ‘greennthings.com’

I obtained this domain with the Explorer package and my subscription is still valid until April of this year.

It says the domain is still in its redemption period and I cannot lose this domain. I need assistance to redeem the domain and transfer it to another registrar.

    Hi there!

It looks like you canceled both your domain and the WordPress.com Explorer plan completely on January 5. Because the domain was canceled a while ago, it has entered the redemption period, where there’s an $80 redemption fee to restore the domain.

I’ve sent the payment link via email to the email address on your WordPress.com account. Please pay using the link as soon as possible and let us know by replying here so that we can redeem and restore the domain for you.

Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.

  • @plantboutique01 thank you for taking care of that payment! I was able to redeem the domain for you, and I’ve also restored your remaining subscription.

From here, if you want to let us know what you have in mind with the site, we can guide you to a tutorial, or you might find one of our webinars helpful. We even have a service that can build the site for you so you’ve got a running start. Just let us know how we can help! Or, if you intended to use the domain elsewhere, instead of cancelling it, you’ll want to change its settings then transfer it. Just let us know what you’re hoping to do and we can provide your next steps. Cheers!
